Electrical Energy Crisis

As we all know that we are having electrical energy crisis in Nepal, and also we can hear announcements through our TV to save energy. In this situation too, we can see most of the street lights on till afternoon. The image below is of Baidhyakhana, Anamnagar, where the lights are always on when there is electricity.

At home we can take care of it but on streets who is going to take care? How are we going to save energy this way?

NEA has published a new schedule today with an increment in load shedding hours. Do you know how much is it per day? It's 10 hrs per day.. Isn't it a sad news :( Really frustrating for the people to live in Nepal.

I just viewed the NEA site (www.nea.org.np). There is update of the load shedding schedule but when you see that site, there is nothing except the schedule.. Is it a site or just the load shedding notice.. THere is a face of the managing director, I don't think its is personal site.. Everyone who view the site will obviously blame him for the schedule... I think its time for the NEA to change the site or make updates to the site. There is nothing on the site... except the load shedding schedule.. So everyone can guess, what they do for the country and people.

Hey guys, I am wondering if NEA can buy electricity from India or China or not? Isn't it possible? The new government so called Maoist, used to blame the previous government, but what is the change when they are in the government? Have they made any changes..? Load Shedding schedule has increased.. I think this is the change they have made ... Anyways there is none to shout against it.. :(

PM's family trip to United States

As we all know that Prime Minister of Nepal, Puspa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) went to United States for 8 days and returned today . With the PM, all his family members went to US (his son too). Isn't it a dance in chance? In response to media regarding his trip with his son, he said that his son is a computer operator so he went with the team. What a answer? isn't it. I think there is no other computer master in Nepal other than his son. I am wondering if he could send his son with his own expenses and not the country expenses? People are quite unprofessional yet. New PM is following the same track as other politicians before. Anyways, looks like he had a very good trip to US with his family and enjoyed a lot.

Also wondering why he does not use our national men's wear while he is representing our country? Is it because he does not like it and following so called "Republic"? or is it because he want to change Nepal to new Nepal leaving our old traditions?

ADSL For the first time in Nepal

ADSL Broadband Service (Internet Solution) is introduced for the first time in Nepal by Nepal Telecom. Till now the WorldLink Communication had the complete control over the market, but due to this new ADSL service, will it effect the Worldlink communication? I guess yes, But though Worldlink will be effected, internet users over Kathmnandu will be highly benefited by its speed and the cost of service. But let us think on the other part, will the NTC be able to provide support as other ISPs are providing from the installation to the monthly payment collection. Will the NTC be able to do this? Well I don't think so.

I think NTC do not have staffs to look after ADSL department to provide any support before 10am and after 3pm. Their office runs for 5 hrs only for customers. This way we can see that they won't be helpful on holidays at all while other ISPs have 24hrs support everyday. Well I think this is not the employees responsibilities but NTC as a whole. Hope we will have a good support from NTC for the service. Can we totally depend on this service?

WOW! New party "Maoist" won the Election

Wow! New party "Maoist" won the election with a very drastic difference.
In my point of view, there are mainly 3 reasons "Maoist" won the election.

First, they have been telling that they have to win anyhow or they will go back to war. This made people think that they have to give them votes so that they won't go back to jungle as people have already experienced a lot of tragedy during last 10 years and they cannot let it be again. People want peace.

Secondly, As the old politicians had never done good to the country. They were always hurried to fulfill their needs and not the country and citizens. So this has caused people to choose new party. In my point of view, what I think is that people want changes and not the same as before (unstable, violence and war). What people might have thought is, if they give the votes to old parties, Nepal will remain the same as it is now and if they give votes to new parties, the new parties might do something good or something bad but Nepal will change for sure.

We can also see that big politicians have lost in election in Kathmandu. This shows that people are fade up with these old politicians and their thoughts. People want changes and new Nepal.

Thirdly, there can be some miss behaves of Maoists which made people to vote them.

Lets see how these new politicians make New Nepal. Let us hope for New and better Nepal :)

Nepal Constituenty Election Successfully Held

Finally there election was held successfully and peacefully today on 10 April, 2008. 67% people voted and it was very peaceful, which is miracle in case of Nepal's situation. This shows that people are really interested in making new and better Nepal.
EC confirms polls put off in 33 booths our of 20,892 booths nationwide. There were some Booth captures which is very minor but still in overall it was held successful and peaceful.
A 105 years old woman also gave a vote this time :) Really surprising to hear that. None was expecting to have such a peaceful election.

Finally after around 10 years, Election is going to be held in Nepal 10th April 2008. I am so excited to give a vote for the first time. I have also decided to whom I will give. But the thing is none of the parties are good enough to take the country in right direction. Everyone have their own selfishness to come to the constitution. Hope they will take to right direction. Its 10 years of war and we are fade up. We just want peace, nothing else from this politicians.

Every vote counts this time. So let us make a good party to win. So Let us go to vote.

1. On Jan 23,2008, there was a strike in Kathmandu due to increase of rate in diesel and gas.
2. On Jan 24,2008 still strike due to increase of rate in diesel and gas by general people.

Another year of Web Development

I started my career as web developer in 2005 and thought will be doing it for only one year. But as time passed, I enjoyed the web development work. I determined myself to remain in the same field for few more years. It is really interesting field and did not know how fast the time flied. The 3rd year of web development is going to end and I am still learning thing. The most interesting thing in web development is , everyday new things come up, new problems come up and time flies solving it :) . Now I am also loving making website designs, doing seo (search engine optimization) too.

Is this called "Loktantra" ? I hope not....

It was a normal day. I went to bank from my office for a work. In a few mins my sis called me and told me that there is a bomb blast at the same area where I was. I got shocked. When I came out of bank, everyone was hurried to go their home. I didnot heard the sound of the bomb, so I was surprised why people are running. I didnot took my bike because there was no petrol. I tried to stop the taxis but none agreed to go upto my home. Then I thought of coming back to home on foot. It shows, how much unsafe Nepal has become. No one knows who did it. What a loktantra people got. Anyone can take lives of others and is it called Loktantra? Its disguisting. I don't want loktantra in this way.
